Blah...
I thought about just copy/pasting another "about me" section from one of my other websites to fill this in, but I decided to just write more.
I guess I'll start with some information that I left out of the other "about me" sections on my other sites...
First, I'll talk about my name itself. A couple of years ago (around the time I started college, and was in the middle of "finding" myself... I'm still not sure how I got lost...), I analyzed my name. My first name, "Christopher," is from Greek origin, and it literally means "bearing Christ inside." Given my belief that everything happens for a reason, I wasn't surprised at this, since my faith is so strong. My last name, "Butler," simply means "one who serves." So, it seems pretty obvious to me that I should serve people in the name of Christ. This objective is my life goal. It is my first priority, and it is the motivating force behind everything I do. No one can take this faith from me; I will die before I renounce the name of Christ.
There is no word or combination of words that can accurately and precisely describe my faith. There is no emotion or feeling that I can associate with it, except for love. Love is an indescribable, indefinable emotion. You don't know you have it, until you do. It is a great word to describe faith, since faith is also indescribable and indefinable... except for those who have it.
For now, my plans for the future are at best uncertain, because I know as well as anybody that life is what happens after you make plans. However, I am planning on completing my Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems here at MTSU (simply for a career). After that, my plans will be any of the following: a Master's in Computer Information Systems (depending on what kind of job market there is), a Master's in Educational Leadership (to help facilitate my ministry/missions work), or a Master's in Divinity (if I feel lead to go ahead and start my seminary education; I know I want to go at some point). I am also planning on doing doctoral work, either in the Educational Leadership field or the Missions field. Although I do not know how I will get there, my long term goal is either of those doctoral degrees: Ed.D or D.Miss.
more to come soon... :)
